Tropical Cyclones and Climate Change

Climate change caused by increased concentrations of greenhouse gases may have some effect on tropical cyclone characteristics. Many theoretical and modelling studies now suggest that tropical cyclones may become slightly more intense in a warmer world, but may also be fewer.
