Canterbury Quaker Meeting has a library collection of about a thousand publications. The shelving is divided into several sections, including Quaker history, Quaker spirituality, Christian spirituality, the spirituality of other religions, and social action and witness.
The purpose of the library is to make the books held by the library available to Members and Attenders of Canterbury Meeting. This purpose is best served when the library is well used. When did you last read a Swarthmore Lecture?
The aim of this section of the website is to list and highlight publications held in the library so that Friends might feel prompted to borrow them.
The full catalogue is available for download. The link to this is at the bottom of this page. What is presented is a simple list. It is currently in a format that is also readable by Google Drive, and can be imported directly into Google Drive thus making the data fully searchable.
There are also files listing recent accessions to the library. These are listed to the right of this page.
For book reviews, go to the Books Reviews section under the heading entitled Written Word.
