School Food
Allergies
Due to allergies, FISH PRODUCTS ARE BANNED FROM SCHOOL.
Peanuts are banned from classrooms where peanut allergies are present, but we ask that you try to refrain from bringing peanut products to school (other nuts are okay so almond butter and pea butter are acceptable alternatives). Please check with your classroom teacher if you are unsure about allergies in your child's classroom.
Healthy Snacks:
To help develop healthy habits and keep Kelsey Community School in line with Manitoba Healthy Foods, we would ask that you send healthy items with your child for snack times and save other items for their lunch. Here are some examples of healthy snacks:

After School Snacks:
The School is currently providing after school snacks for those students who are involved in school activities after school. Snack is right after school and students are dismissed to their after school programs at 3:45.
Lunches:
Though there are no restrictions placed on lunches brought to school, we encourage you to send your child to school with a healthy lunch.
Breakfast Program:
We all know how important breakfast is for learning. Please continue to ensure your children start the day on a positive note with a healthy breakfast.
We understand that there are days where children may not have been able to have breakfast at home for a variety of reasons so we are continuing to run our breakfast program to help our students be successful in school.
The breakfast program is run entirely on grants and donations. If you or anyone you know is able to help the program in any way, it would certainly be appreciated. Please continue to use our Grub Box donation
