Lessons
* Weekly lessons are required for all students. 30-minute lessons are $145/month, 45-minute lessons are $210/month and 60-minute lessons are $270/month.
* Lessons are offered to students from beginner through advanced levels and are taught in-person on two Steinway grand pianos in a dedicated private studio environment.
Tuition & Payment
* Tuition is charged monthly at a flat rate and remains the same regardless of the number of lessons in a given month or student absences/cancellations.
* No lessons are held during Thanksgiving week or during the Christmas/New Year holiday period.
* Books are included through my studio lending library.
* Payment is due by the first lesson of each month.
* A $10 late fee will be added to payments received after the second lesson of the month.
* If I need to cancel a lesson unexpectedly (rare), a credit will be applied toward the following month’s tuition.
Practice Expectations
* Daily practice is essential for musical growth and long-term progress.
* Students are expected to complete all assigned work during the week and review the practice instructions provided after each lesson.
* A piano or quality keyboard is required for home practice, though an acoustic piano is strongly recommended.
* Students are given regular performance opportunities throughout the year, including individual studio recitals and annual spring evaluations.
Attendance & Make-Up Lessons
* Students reserve one dedicated lesson time each week. Please schedule other activities and appointments around this reserved lesson time.
* Tuition reserves the student’s place in the studio and is non-refundable.
* Make-up lessons are not guaranteed and are offered only when my schedule permits.
* A minimum of 24 hours notice is required before a missed lesson will even be considered for a make-up lesson.
* Students are limited to two complimentary make-up lessons per semester (August–December and January–May).
* Additional make-up lessons, if available, may require an additional fee.
* Repeated cancellations, late arrivals, lack of communication regarding absences, or ongoing scheduling conflicts may result in the loss of the student’s reserved lesson time in the studio.
Arrival & Pick-Up
* Students should arrive no earlier than 2–3 minutes before their scheduled lesson time and, if dropped off, should be picked up promptly at the end of the lesson.
* Because lessons are taught from my home studio, I ask families to avoid arriving excessively early.
Student & Parent Responsibilities
* Students should arrive on time, prepared, and ready to participate actively in lessons.
* Consistent effort, focused participation, and a willingness to try are essential for meaningful progress.
* Parents are encouraged to support regular practice routines at home and help students maintain a consistent practice schedule.
* Weekly practice instructions will be emailed and should be accessible during home practice sessions.
* A supportive home environment and consistent practice habits greatly contribute to student success.
