Kathryn E. Joyce
I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Values and Public Policy at the Princeton University Center for Human Values and the Princeton School of Public Affairs Education Research Section. I recently received my PhD in Philosophy from the University of California San Diego.
I specialize in social and political philosophy and the philosophy of education. Within these areas I focus on egalitarianism and educational justice. My dissertation, Relational Equality: A Conceptual and Normative Analysis, proposes a conceptual framework for theorizing about the nature and value of relational equality. I use this framework to develop a substantive account of egalitarian relationships that emphasizes the role of mutual accountability. I also work on projects that explore normative dimensions of education policy and practice. To learn more, check out my research page.
