best-know - 1) an indefinite, yet apparent type of subjective knowing/awareness that is better than any other way of knowing2) the best that is known at a time, but can still be improved upon, like with new knowledge/information, whether sourced from "outside" or within oneself

examples in context - 1) Especially in these times of Information age when our knowledge of our world is so vast, much more accessible via this wwweb, and could often use much improvement, the importance to not merely know, but to best-know, will be increasingly realized. 2) Those people's multitude energies, computations, algorithms, complications, hard works, appreciation-valuation of a certain kind of knowing-logic, etc. provided them a certain degree of knowing, that worked okay, but when that other group's best-know confronted their efforts, their was no question - and through their OWN way of knowing at that - that they'd be better to ad(o/a)pt from that best-know.

biodiversity - life

just try replacing  the word "biodiversity" with "life" whenever you come across it. in most cases these days with our excessively dead kind of science and less lively way of life that tends to lend itself to tunnel vision, this should work. (obviously for the <1% of us who are genuine (peculiar) biologists/ecologists/etc., this is not applicable, yet potentially enlightening)

chronic vs. acute terrorism - the effects of both are undesirable/denounced by most of the society, though highly likely that there is a difference in intentions of these two different forms of harm/violence against others. the former is usually without much evidence of malintention (but perhaps rather a product of a less harmonious culture/nature) to harm others, while the latter usually has evident (though sometimes nuanced) malintent. the word tends to hold a very serious connotation and crime status that places people on very high attention/alert (understand better with “oppressed righteous”)

example in context - the sociology professor contrasted chronic vs. acute terrorism rather than simply (environmental, societal) ..harm to get the important point across using an admittedly more sensational and attention-provoking word ("terrorism") about the deeply engrained, much subtler, over a much longer period of time, (and so often not given the appropriate recognition) violence/harm caused to nature and many (otherwise appropriate, nature-based) cultures' (including harm to the descendants of the chronic terrorists, see graph for example) ways of life that have been terrorized/destroyed, or made to be an impotent choice in comparison to joining the terrorists.

example in context - sometimes the forms of terrorism can be the same unless being viewed at different time scales, like a general situation such as European/'white' settlers terrorizing Native Americans and their way of life. but sometimes the distinction is very clear - for (the most popular?) examples, the 9/11 attacks is acute terrorism, while an economy that is dependent on crude oil, imbalanced/out-of-scale industrial setup/workings, and capitalist social arrangement that encourages unnatural use/abuse of the environment (resources) and greed, while making it very difficult for all to be able to live in a natural, happy, responsible, healthy, and truly sustainable way is chronic terrorism

developmend - mending the formerly touted (model of) overly-extractive, nature-imbalanced "development" - which proved itself to be environmentally unsustainable, ecologically imbalanced, with deceiving socio-economic benefits, and creating unfortunate, unnatural dependencies to an ill setup.

example in context - At early stages of popularized/politicized environmental consciousness, there was much priority given to domestic environmental conservation efforts (e.g. California’s 30x30 initiative), however, this well-intentioned initiative lacked accounting (and awareness?) for the environmental harm done from the exploitation of resources by importing countries (usually rich, developed countries) and the resulting inequity amongst other, often less developed, “poorer” countries, thus not allowing those places to properly developmend their own domestic lands.  The EU took one of the first steps to fix this problem with their ban on deforestation-linked imported commodities, and The Global Commons Stewardship Index (a more holistic Environmental Performance Index) was also developed by the UN, Yale, & the U. of Tokyo.

example in context  - It is becoming increasingly clear that “primitive” ways of life are more advanced/evolved ways of relating to nature/the environment, and the takenforgranted, hyped, overly “developed” way of life is a more outdated, unfortunate way, especially given a clear understanding of the energy/resources needs and environmental impacts.  The former way is sane, balanced, nonviolent, environmentally responsible and sustainable, and natural too, but the latter way has come to dominate, and so much developmending is needed.

example in context - Some examples of (radical) green jobs that go beyond the usual greenwashings of jobs, and actually developmend the environment (and society) damage older generations have left us/you with (can be seen through this YT playlist, the "jobs creation.." category, ).

dual health - personal, human health as well as environmental/ecological health

example in context - Though the "one health" approach that emerged from the COVID-19 pandemic was a step in the right direction of more holistically understanding our world, this still too human-centric view was less broadly seeing than a deep green or dual health perspective.

ecological/historical baseline - the (historical) state of the ecosystem before unnatural, usually unsustainable, ecologically imbalanced & significantly altering human intervention / disruption. ("historical baseline" tends to be used in ecological contexts)

example in context - There’s great Interests and Efforts being put forth in restoration (including the high-level authorized “UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration”), but they’re not necessarily the most appropriate ways or without sufficient regard for the natural state of the ecosystem before humans significantly altered it (like this example from Brazil’s Cerrado grasslands). Thus, I think more focus needs to be put on if and how it has been significantly altered with the ideal aim toward full restoration to the original state ("fully recovering native ecosystems"), or at least with that proper awareness, doing the best possible, or what makes most sense (naturally) to do given the complex, dynamic situation.

example in context - Sometimes the historical baseline can be unclear, as can be seen from this example from Madagascar.

example in context - Though this concept of ecological baseline focuses on ecology, a similar comparison to way of life can be understood (often in parallel to changing and compromised ecology too).  For example, in Sierra Leone, natives relied on these community forests to harvest timber and other forest produce, hunt for bushmeat and grow staple crops, until the 1900s when industrial-exploitation interests caused massive deforestation destruction that gave way to more recent conservation and carbon credit efforts/projects that rehabilitate the land to a different, new condition.

example in context - Though this understanding of ecological baseline is a general definition, some use it more in relation to their particular circumstances/objectives, (like here, the DOE uses it in relation to the release of hazardous substances)

ecological food desert - whereas just "food desert" is currently considered (more from public health perspective) as places where the local populations do not have (convenient) access to affordable, healthy food, this more wholistic concept is a less human-centric understanding that implies both, a low, non-proportionate amount of food grown, and dependency on (usually both environmentally unsustainable and imbalanced fossil fuel energies and farm land stewardship) less- or un-natural food imports sourced  from farmlands that are destructive to nature (e.g. degraded/depleted top soils and watersheds).

example in context - After being affected by the spirit of "deep ecology", I had a fresher awareness of the ironic, or at least unnatural, situation of how the grocery stores, markets, restaurants, etc. made it appear like there's an abundance of food, but our less- or unhealthy human-built environment that had me dependent on unsustainable, imbalanced energies (like fossil fuels and their corresponding implements) actually was an ecological food desert.

ecovillage - (copied from wikipedia) An ecovillage is a traditional or intentional community with the goal of becoming more socially, culturally, economically, and/or ecologically sustainable. An ecovillage strives to produce the least possible negative impact on the natural environment through intentional physical design and resident behavior choices.

example in context - In searching for the right way of life, I had many ideas for what a desirable ecovillage would look like, but especially the Law of Karma and uplifting, Dharmic way of living would be there too.

example in context - Given the increasingly realized problems of the "city" in its negative impact on environmental health and sustainability (including conditions beyond the ecological carrying capacity, as this comic can reveal), the ecovillage alternative way of life looked promising.

ecoliteracy - as opposed to the conventionally touted "literacy" (better understood as egoliteracy that reinforces an "egonomy"), this kind of knowledge is also inclusive of reading imbalanced egos, and defending against harms that are caused by them.  However, this literacy's main importance is in its quality of proper understanding, or awareness of the planet and our relationships to it - relationship especially in the sense of (biological) survival or (environmentally sustainable) balance.

example in context - The collective minds/energies were hard at work in a more complicated situation to transition people from an antiquated, environmentally unsustainable, and imbalanced egoliteracy to a more appropriate ecoliterate society, for various natures, ages, capabilities, cultures, and situations especially toward a more balanced environment and social harmony.  Because some argued or promoted (like Sadhguru, Mere Sai Sai Baba, or myself) that Nature would be instructive, naturally; and so, no need to over-complicate things or mess with one's mind like with that unnecessary "(ego)literacy", or interfere with childrens' natural ability* to learn whatever they are interested in with good guidance from ecoliterate parents, or elders (*but in truly/holistically environmentally sustainable living situations).

example in context - World-renowned Sepp Holzer's words here have profound insight into ecoliteracy (and more outdated "literacy", especially here, when he speaks of people who grow up around nature or not)

egonomy - whereas "economy" actually means "management of the home", this is "management of the ego," which has been accentuated with the use of social media, and has a proven track record to be imbalanced with the boundaries/limits of Nature.

example in context - He argued a natural progression (like geocentricism to heliocentricism) from the better understanding from the proper study of the home ("ecology"), would lead to to the better management of the home ("economy"), with the correct alignment of, or significance given to, the psychological phenomenon known as the egonomy.

example in context - Sai Baba teaches a good lesson to avoid the egonomy by basically guiding that we should all be more self-sufficient, not expecting others to do too much for us.  Specifically, it is for wives to not be too much of a servant to their husbands, and be able to be self-sufficient too.

environmental justice vs. environmental social justice - the former is the type of repayment or justice after such undeserved harm to our environment, without any regard to social injustices that may be interrelated or seen as connected (especially to the extent it generally holds true that those marginalized people/races who are disadvantaged by the predominant, less natural sociopolitical systems, are also most susceptible to disruptions in more natural conditions), which would be the latter.

example in context - More technical maybe, but in these early days of environmental justice, there seems to be a confusion or at least mix-up (sometimes rightly so, thus making this distinction of environmental justice and environmental social justice less meaningful) of the justice many are much more familiar with, which is justice among humans, especially lopsided socio-economic unfairness to non-males and certain races/ethnicities (that could be categorized as "BIPOC"). One specific example of this confusion can be found in the case of this black community's opposition (not for environmental reasons) of artificial-solar energy in Florida.

example in context - Though consideration of the distinction of environmental justice and environmental social justice may not be as clear or obvious, sometimes it is, like unfairness in water access/use, like among various farming operations in the Central Valley (also here), fossil fuel/ artificial energy control/use, like developed vs. undeveloped world,

example in context - There are various kinds and views of justice, and it’s pertinent to see how social justice can often be in conflict with justice for the environment or the nature (both external/environmental and internal/individual types of nature)

example in context - Usually, with efforts to amend or solve societal problems, there has been, and is heavy humancentric emphasis on the social dimension to generally, either (a) fairly help all (like the same amount of brown help platforms in the “EQUALITY” image, or (b) recognize involuntary disadvantages (like race or gender), and then help accordingly (like in the “EQUITY” image). Good intentions and increased opportunities / standards of living as it may be, however both of these may (and have) not accounted for the externalized costs/pressures put on the environment/planet in the making of those helps/platforms.  Instead, focus on “JUSTICE” to the environment/planet which we humans have collectively degraded with our unsustainable way of life & inhumane economy/culture (that’s likely to have caused such “disadvantages” to begin with also), would likely naturally facilitate a kind of “level playing field” as it were, also remembering other important considerations too (like dynamickarma, climate change injustice, for example,).

example in context - Regarding environmental social justice, my trulof hip hop recording  more holistically and compassionately considers those that Society has found guilty and put in jail/prison.

example in context - When considering “community empowerment,” it may be most relevant to understand it in the context of equal oppression, or more monolithic, uniform living conditions of an overwhelmingly intrusive or dominant/imbalanced Economy.  And so, the empowerment can be either empowerment within those destructive/imbalanced conditions of a misguided Economy (often/traditionally known as “social justice”) vs. protection from that destructive economy (like this case in Mexico)

example in context - Another angle to "justice" is the framework of the extension of the "planetary boundaries" warning-concept, which is known as "Earth System Boundaries," which includes three justice criteria (“3Is”) to planetary boundaries:

1) interspecies justice and earth system stability (environmental only)

2) intergenerational justice that stems from the thought that we need to recognise the potential long-term consequences of short-term actions and associated trade-offs and synergies across time (environmental and social)

3) (intragenerational) justice between countries, communities and individuals... (that also) considers multiple and overlapping social identities and categories like gender, race, age, etc. (social)

From this then, one can clearly see how the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's (immature/incomplete) understanding of "environmental justice" only meets the 3rd criteria above.

example in context - Scientists have underscored that human equity and well-being could mark a tenth planetary boundary; the concern being that violating the thresholds of those other nine boundaries could quickly lead to the undermining of basic human rights, to social chaos, economic collapse, and authoritarianism. (from Mongabay article, and the Nature article)

example in context - The astute student suggested, “..like if another peoples, nation (or planet) attacks, climate change, global warming, and other shared enemies (of various common environmental threats for example) effectively act as a unifying force, breaking down more superficial (though perceived as/potentially important) differences between people, like those of appearance, like race/ethnicity for example, right?.., then there’s forces / media that emphasize this ‘environmental justice’ thing about disproportionately impacting people of color, or BIPOC… which acts against getting past those superficial differences..” and the wise professor replied, “Yes astute student, good point, but on the other hand, people like to do/support good things, and helping marginalized peoples like the ‘BIPOC’ kinds seems to essentially count for a point... and stopping environmental harms - well, that is like a bonus point, even better.  So from that (more functionalist) perspective, the reality of those forces can be better understood/justified.”

example in context - see my blog post for even more clarity

example in context - The purpose of the daily national pledge to the USA flag with the right hand over the heart as school children was “..for liberty/responsibility and justice for all”. And so, considering both, that post-responsibility (and as opposed to proactive/pre-responsibility, “payback can be a bitch/unfortunate,” or with fitting consequences to the credit card transaction approach?) includes wickedly complex, unfortunate, though needed environmental restoration efforts (like SER, native/smart seed restoration, ecosystem restoration opportunities, ) many of the pledgers (and non-pledgers) will find themselves having to payback (like this?) on this account, one way or another; whether desired or not.. and as "I daydream of another dimension..."

note: some people (whether expressed with angeRage, love, concern, etc.) pledge no allegance as they see how the USA does/would (or hopefully did, as enabling conditions for truly sustainable livelihoods would be made priority and defended) not provide the freedom and justice for all (including Americans, non-Americans and even all the non-human beings)

environmental health - like one's own personal health or even a less precise "public health," this is the measurement of quality or simply the state of natural, healthy condition of the environment; the external experienced world including the appropriate harmony of the 5 natural elements (earth, water, fire, air/wind, and ether)

example in context - Currently "environmental health" has a more human-centric meaning (see EHN for example) that refers to the (mostly human-caused) environmental influences that then karmaconsequently impact human health, from smog to antibiotic resistance from industrial livestock operations.  However another meaning (which a future-oriented thinker might use) would be to reify the Environment as if it were a patient, like in the profound ER analogy (video here) by a powerful Nature advocate, or the relatively nascent Rights of Nature legal framework.

exergy - seems to be like accounting for "externalized costs" or the concept of "embodied energy."  Rather than a more dated, narrower measure such as "energy," for ecological understandings-investigations, this concept (or even analytical tool) provides a more holistic-accurate account to better see our destructive human impacts.  (see pg. 51/52 from this compendium for more detail)

example in context - Non-peaceful or excessive energy seeking/addiction of many (like of  modern civilization / the city) can translate to a problematic, too-high exergy value.  In relation to food, at the individual level, similar to gluttony, but more than the large amount of food, the large amount of exergy embodied in the whole life cycle of the food, and may be associated with pathological  “hanger” (hungry-anger, for example (but not to discount really good, healthy ways to resolve anger issues)).  Also, at the societal level, excessively high exergy food can be generally understood as enabled by our unfortunate, unsustainable way of life that has resulted in continued weak dependencies on such imbalanced/unsustainable exergies of a destructive food system (see this article on the FAO's The State of Food And Agriculture 2023 report for example), and way of life. Then, in relation to sex, sexual appetite/cravings would be less if survival (which is also relative to various needs of various people)  wasn’t as easy or in favor of us humans; wasn’t as supported by excess-energy consumption.  Another way to consider this is that the high degree of liveliness/attraction to sex-charged situations, is likely at imbalanced/undeserved costs to others, biodiversity, energy..

example in context - sadhguru has talked about how the non-physical, very powerful ojas energy does not conform to the usual, scientifically understood physical layer of existence, and so, one can steal/excessively take energy from this physical, finite world without having a negative impact on their gross-level health as the energy in the food is converted to a non-physical energy. such a phenomenon seems to further complicate an already-complicated task for good policies and (subsequent) evaluation of our human society's undesirable environmental impacts (as sadhguru has himself been very much a part of, through initiatives/movements including "save soil" and other various reforestation efforts)

example in context - A very highly complex, subjective, dynamic issue & dilemma especially pervading in our present modern-day society is concerning when we come across very, too-high exergy products that have been produced without our consent, demand, or request, we (may) realize it has been produced at (varying levels of) high externalized cost to the environment & biodiversity/life, yet it's already there, and would otherwise sort of go to waste or somebody else would use it if we don't. There sare so many examples of this, but here are a few examples of this:

*the amount of exergy, or similarly-specifically water used to grow various foods (like a more quantitative Water Footprint Calculator can show), but perhaps a good, more congruous, common-sense solution is to consider obtaining-consuming a "natural" amount (the amount one would have in more environmentally sustainable or natural conditions).  For example, there was much effort, intelligence and sophistication in calculations regarding the amount of water used to grow, 1 almond for example (~1 gallon)... or one may consider having.. ~ a quarter almond tree's worth of almonds/year (maybe more or less depending on if its local or not to them), which may average ~ 15 lbs., or ~ 1 lb./month

*from unsustainable development / land use, the (drastic) ecological changes that may be then incorrectly assumed to be the new baseline/standard for comparison for environmental health (consider rainforest to pasture in Brazil for example).  And so, may be important to (have records to) know the historical land use.

*What to do with certain/valuable seized items, like marijuana or ivory? (and to add even more complexity, another article to consider)

*solar panels

example in context - It is apparent that the USA EPA is also broad-sighted enough to see that we need to also measure-account for imported/external good/activities (like this focus on "Scope 3" GHG emissions for example).

human advancement vs. human supremacy - Relative to non-human forms of life and even non-living matter, the former places the human form as most advanced (at least potentially).  But with a subtle yet powerful difference in energy and thought of us humans toward the latter state of mind or existence that extends our relative power adharmically, with imbalance to the rest of Nature, there is undesirable potential for advanced human beings to abuse their power to actually cause harm to the nature, in the down-taking, wrong direction.

example in context -  Most generally, the human supremacism mentality wants to feed more people than they should, and this has basically upset the proper ecological balance.

example in context - Robert Jensen's article on technological fundamentalism can help to clarify and elaborate this distinction of human advancement vs. human supremacism

advanced example in context - I think there is an interesting, complicated, or nuanced certain type of Life-energy or Life-sense that seems to pair with the efforts that go into genetic/lab level modification in food production, which seems to have a more reflexive relationship to its consumers and their choice of a more or less Nature-based way of life.

Life-sense - whereas just "sense" is a feeling that something is the case, this more wholistic concept [1] is a feeling that something embodies the natural way of life.  In other words, it is a feeling of a more harmonious, balanced, appropriate-/in-scale coexistence us humans have with Nature, or the natural ecosystem.

Maybe the most relevant focus of this term now would be to what extent there is "Life-sense" in how one has come to perceive their world, especially using the tool of a science (as opposed to a yogic science) that is more data-oriented, modern in its alignment with the most advanced, "fittest," human-built, external technologies, and other socially-approved/political values (e.g. efficiency, research grant money, social consensus about what "Science" even is, etc.) to guide where focus and efforts are put.

example in context - Sadhguru gives a simple explanation of Life-sense hyr.  The explanation basically contrasts human intelligence-derived meanings to the very existence itself.

example in context (basic) - On Living Energy Farm, the way of life had so much Life-sense that Alexis and Deb had to share it to others more deficient in this sense, through this deader computer media, which seems like it could be helpful if the liveliness is actually negative/downtaking/destructive, right

example in context - Life-sense is lacking in society as Jevons Paradox suggests.  The paradox basically-generally says that with improvements (of efficiency) in technology (which should also lower its cost too/though), the actual energy demand increases!.  Sadhguru's  explanation (and an elaboration of "another level of survival" hyr) enables better understanding to a cause of this problematic paradox.

example in context - Much recordead media/data has no Life-sense to both an individual's own personal upliftment or spiritual progression as well as to its negative impacts to the shared environment (like excessive, imbalanced use of water and energy).

example in context - In relation to noting (my) Life-senseless internet activity (such as typical porn viewing), consider use of my internet-related time and energy, data use for good, environmental protection related work offset for my Life-senseless/bad things like misguided porn watching, as similar to misguided companies involved in carbon offset markets (allowed to continue to do some bad like unsustainable/excessive extraction from Nature when restoring somewhere else).  The article The Cloud vs. drought: Water hog data centers... seems to give good insight as to the reason I have increased urge to urinate (especially when doing the Life-senseless, environmentally harmful activity (see Sadhguru) of porn watching), which seems like it'd be right (for myself and for the environment) for people to discriminate/shame/discourage me for.

example in context - Sadhguru talks about using life-energies in relation to sexual energies (there is also kriya yoga for some), can be seen in dark of fetished/adharmic use of life energies (for example); not as smartly using the energies (like “blowing your nose or scratching an itch”)

example in context - I reflected my rap track from 2008, with the lyrics, "Ain't got enemies unless I'm hatin' myself, cuz I am everybody...", and though true and impressively insightful of such a (yogiꓘ) sense of oneness, was with very little Life-sense.. especially compared to Sadhguru's explanation of a very beautiful meaning of consciousness via this more uplifting way of saying we don't have enemies... and continuing up the Sadhguru-inspired habits whole, is this description of a yogi’s sense (of Life) without seeing.

example in context - It seemed pretty common sense, or clear, upon reflecting how against-life (or "anti-biotic") medicine, or the sicker living conditions that encouraged their use, made little to no Life-sense in tha more holistic view.

example in context - I wondered if there was more Life-sense in most urban/city environments or "Urban Dictionary"

example in context - My post regarding 'the opposite of bipolar disorder'? gives more insight into Life-sense, and questions its desirability and prevalence/progression in our society.

example in context - Just from the play off of "engineer," the word "bioneer" invokes a person working around the life; with Life-sense (and of course not to be confused with often overly-sophisticated study of life "biology," that has less Life-sense).  The bioneer asked the engineer, deeply, "Why would you try to alter Nature's engine?"

example in context - I guess Life-sense is an example of a cross between the Tree of Life and Tree of Knowledge.

example in context (advanced) - He could not accept that a biologist who merely studies life had any Life-sense until he encountered Death.  Then it made sense (but still not Life-sense :)).

example in context - Death as Life as surgeons, cardiologists, and scientists around / the “artery” of Form, Life-sense anatomically found / with an Exhale of its own, “hartery” zound

Nature connection/harmony vs. environmental sustainability - Though not as clear (especially when exergy/“embodied energy” of things are taken into account), one’s way of life can be  environmentally sustainable without or with less connection to Nature.  However, it seems that one’s way of life that is in connection with Nature, is almost certain to be environmentally sustainable.

example in context - The youth headed to a career in (traditional/too-centralized as opposed to relocalized/tribal) government, understood that though people with a Nature-based way of life could serve as a great example for others, there may be a greater need for them to focus on preventing / better guiding the more objective, shared negative social consequences of environmentally harmful and unsustainable ways of life.

example in context - Sai Baba has an extremely supportive, sacred view of Nature by saying to not cut any trees, which can make one’s livelihood more difficult, but definitely doable.  Such a world-view that sees trees as equal to humans can be beautiful and inspiring (and more evolved) compared to other views, but also unnecessary for environmental sustainability purposes, which can include a moderate, balanced, and truly sustainable approach to land management (for examples).

example in context - There's beliefs, such as religious/spiritual beliefs, that may not impact others (and obviously examples where it does negatively impact others, like the European/white culture's historical “Bible and gun” conquest of "primitive" peoples).  The belief in / objective of environmental sustainability is different from many other beliefs since it impacts all of us (and future generations) on the also-important physical plane of existence.

example in context - In setting up Regenerative Ag. for Indigenous, Time can iron out cultural disorders of European/white violent conquest, or distort native/indigenous ways of life (of hunting and gathering for example).  In other words, isn’t it ironic that the very similar (albeit somewhat smarter and improved) settler agriculture and associated way of life that destroyed the native way of life, is now shown as the way for them?  Is this “indigenous” merely by genetics/race, or by activity?  To the extent it may be wise to forget the past and deal with the present, the question becomes if the activity is environmentally sustainable?  The next question is if it is culturally appropriate / in balance and harmony with Nature.

oppressed righteous - those unable to, or unreasonably difficult to do right; oppressed when trying to do right (understand better with righteous radicalism)

example in context - Sometimes to even really know what's right is a challenge, but then when one realizes what is right, and then is oppressed from doing so... what an incredibly frustrating and really difficult situation to be in!

example in context - Another name of oppressed righteous are "criminalized victims" (or helpless criminals), as the supposedly responsible, authoritative legal or governmental system does not have a legitimate mechanism for protecting correct norms

example in context - Demarcating into groups of either oppressor and oppressed, oppressors are given the benefit of the doubt of: righteous ignorance; a complex, too-distant/centralized no thanks to oil Economy, dilemma-like governing situation (for examples), or (very subjective) favorable (karmic) timing (of awareness). And it's of course a less clear, and even dynamic, area of what “right” may be, but the bottom line is that one in an authoritative position should take extra caution/effort to not make it difficult for, or oppress the governed people they are supposed have (legitimate) authority over to do right.  Perhaps the best methods to consider in ensuring they are able to do right is: (1) the simple, yet often critically important consideration of if you were in their position, and (2) (more challenging) to despoil/disable them from a misguided way of life, and instead a way of life in line with their true nature/dharma (I've attempted to list examples/directions for such needed rehabilitation).  Similarly of course, the ruled-over class should not misuse the opportunity (or freedom) they have to do right. And of course, both general classes have (deep karmic) consequences of their actions.  Finally, similarly, the guidance can also be vice versad too - the rulers should of course not misuse their power/freedom, and the governed would also be better to try to not make it difficult / unpleasant for the rulers to enable their (relatively spoiled) selves ( and so more or less painfully) to rehabilitate.

example in context - The Aarhus Convention is a good example to protect against oppression of righteous actions.  The convention is a legally-binding international framework developed in 1998-2001 mostly agreed to by European countries mostly, and protects the right to peaceful environmental protest and prohibits the oppression (persecution, penalization or harassment) of anybody seeking to protect their (super basic/reasonable) right to live in a healthy environment. (from article)

example in context - Let alone criminalizing, oppressing, jailing them, non-criminal protest efforts can take a toll on activists too, like taking on a second full-time job. (see article)

example in context - We should “focus on solutions”? (like transitioning our artificial energy dependency to hyped renewables?) when true, meaningful change happens from dismantling (at the root/source of) the destructive, imbalanced, and unsustainable Economy? Such thought expressed there by Kalmus and Scientific Rebellion would support oppressing righteous groups (such as Deep Green Resistance) from doing right.

example in context - There'd be a lot less oppressed righteous when the mainstream criminal justice system evolves its awareness to expand its marginalizing/criminalizing behaviors (of corporations/industries as well as individuals) in relation to its ecological impact (e.g. excess (embedded) energy needs/addictions), or impact on nature.

specific examples include:

example in context - As 20/20 hindsight can help prevent making the same mistakes, to see similarity in undesirable dependency-making situations can help to prevent repeating such mistakes of the past.  Just as their was oppression from right, sustainable livelihoods of villagers/rural dwellers that were impelled to migrate with an unsustainable, abstract survival, toward the money found in the cities, there is potential for similar oppression of undesirably impelling people to depend on actively using, or just being connected to, this artificial internet (not to even mention passive disconnection, yet still undesirably disturbed at a subtle invasive level just physically being within the space / close proximity to unwanted electromagnetic radiation pollution).

example in context - A lighter form of oppression of dismantling the credibility of, for example, deep green "hypocrits" that use the same technology that they are opposing (see editor's note) does not itself have as much credibility... unless they go to the really deep, karmic level of how those supposedly noble, righteous deep greens are in such an unfavorable position of struggle to begin with, but (wisely) give me/us a break.. to heal that level/layer (can/should you?)

organic - multiple meanings, but here conceptualized as "natural" (as opposed to being forced, for example), and furthermore, especially in the often-used context of agricultural marketing

example in context - Similar to the reflexivity of politics and the health of all people in the society (or even the reflexivity of the humans' ((more evolved) perception of their) position in ecological relation of their world), the dynamic meaning of "organic" appears to be very much dependent on where the social economy is in its relation to food, and has been mostly referring to better (but still with much room for improvement) methods of growing food, without using chemical fertilizers, pesticides, etc.

example in context - The more we shift our methods of food growing (from right awareness) to truly ecological, or in right relation to the planet; environmentally sustainable, the more outdated the "organic" marketing label will get (like the nascent "climate-friendly" label, which seems to easily imply that the previous "organic" standards are insufficient, and upon an increased, good awareness of our climate-related agricultural situation, it will be clear that the "organic" label is a step in the right direction at best (and at worst, given the urgency of needed societal/agricultural industry changes, less desirable / weaker, and even promoting an unfortunate false confidence and corresponding complacency).

example in context - The 50 year-old organization California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF) gives their explanation of "organic" here

example in context - It is sad/unfortunate when contraindicated forces (such as Walmart (and the consumers'/our demands for the mostest-bestest at the lowest cost)) effectively dilute the good-intentioned labels embedded in "organic" or "regenerative" ag. operations.

example in context - Though this seems to be a step in the right direction (?and thus called "organic"?), when one compares biofertilizers to outdated chemical fertilizer, but it seems a misnomer to call this "organic" since the process to make such biofertilizers seems more similar to GMO processes (which are juxtaposed to "organic").  Instead, agroecological approaches (perhaps reviewed, rated (on a scale like LEED ratings?),  and verified/certified by experts) that would smartly enable the Nature-dominant conditions to provide (how do you say?) healthy ecosystems, healthy soil, healthy microbiomes in the soil, etc may be the best benchmark at this time.  Whatever it's called, consider the actual effects of the activity, you know.

Permaculture possibilities - though “permaculture” is a method responsive/resistive to an impermanent, holistically less functional, environmentally unsustainable way of living (especially contrasting impermanent industrialized agriculture), this catch-all term has many different possibilities for its actualization, reflecting variabilities amongst people and geographies (especially to generally note the degree of control of and limitations by the external environment)

example in context - V. Shiva's suggestion for a "krishi sahasranam" (basically meaning "thousand names of farming") for various ecological food growing practices reveals many permaculture possibilities.  Some namams can include:

let the roots breathe better and be well nourished in non-compacted and nutritious/healthy soil

☸ Climate Change contingency succession plans

Problematic Problem-Solving - (PPS) - problem-solving in situations that are "problematic" themselves, and applied to environmental problems, this is mainly due to dependency on an imbalanced, environmentally unsustainable way of life

example in context - The sociology professor tried to elucidate the relatively difficult concept of PPS by pointing to examples: from inherently problematic, or contradictory, social institutions like the political system (itself, that nobody voted for)... to imbalanced, profit-oriented marketing spin on greenwashed energy solutions and products/services... to the "sick" medical system.. and Fukuoka's words from "The One Straw Revolution" (pg. 18 / seen below) seemed to be impressed upon, or resonate most with the students' minds, which further motivated them to step up to STEP (Source-Targeting Environmental Protection):

“Human beings with their tampering do something wrong, leave the damage unrepaired, and when the adverse results accumulate, work with all their might to correct them. When the corrective actions appear to be successful, they come to view these measures as splendid accomplishments. People do this over and over again. It is as if a fool were to stomp on and break the tiles of his roof. Then when it starts to rain and the ceiling begins to rot away, he hastily climbs up to mend the damage, rejoicing in the end that he has accomplished a miraculous solution...”

example in context - The professor then further elucidated the socially & environmentally malignant virtues and deceiving intelligences that rewards questionable, misguided, short-sighted, or improper values (like prioritizing profit/production most/too much, false confidence in COVID vaccinations, needed spiritual progression for some, “going green”, “eating healthy”...), and emphasized them to remember the lower, animalistic innate nature or tendency for "bad happiness" (happiness at others' sorrows), and how we should try to stigmatize this in favor of a richer culture that encourages the upliftment of the human (spirit), and not at the detriment to the health and sustainability of the environment.

some more popular examples - ...supporting artificial (though renewable-source like wind and sun) energies, promoting recycling,  consuming green(washed) products, being more efficient in consumption, etc.

example in context - “Climate change is challenging not because we do not understand why and how carbon emissions accumulate in the atmosphere, but because acting accordingly would imply subverting power relationships that benefit from the system’s own malfunction.” From ~pg. 24, True Cost Accounting for Food, Balancing the Scale

example in context - “Pledging to make your operations ‘net zero’ when your entire raison d’etre is to continue producing the fossil fuels destroying the livable world: this is like pledging to become more energy-efficient when your business is manufacturing electric chairs.” from twitter

example in context - The student then asked the professor wisely, "Is the article, Scientists studying microplastics in Antarctica discover... it almost all came from their ship, an example of PPS or just a self-critical, more evolved awareness of PPS, that reveals the merit/honesty of the relatively objective process/method of Science?"

example in context - They may be able to “see through the dust,” but could they see how their actions were not balanced, healthy, or sustainable with the environment?

example in context - "In the run-up to the elections, political parties have announced a number of measures aimed at farmers, including crop insurance, loan waivers and a minimum basic income. These are primarily economic measures, aimed at one-off treatment of farmer distress. But is the farming crisis a one-time disaster that requires a bailout, or an inherently risky business that needs systemic support? The roots of India’s agro-pastoral crisis are ecological and require systemic ecological measures for treatment. Yet this aspect is completely missing from the current debate." (from India’s farming crisis is a crisis of the ecological commons article)

resilience+ (exclusive/continued unnatural vs. +inclusive/transformative natural) - the capacity to withstand or to recover quickly from difficulties using the same tactics that got you in those difficulties to begin with or +withstanding/recovering using evolved and transformative means to transcend those difficulties

example in context - A simple way to disregard this distinction would be to simply attach the critical co-requirement of resilience as resilient and/+ truly sustaining.  This means there should be a sufficient understanding to not continue those actions that got ourselves/society into such an undesirable position to begin with.

example in context - The often-used, highly desirable word "resilience" usually functions as a collective goal/value that we should aspire towards, but it is important to have just enough critical thinking / awareness when the term is used so that we understand what kind of resilience is being called for - or if imbalanced, outdated systems are reinforced (in the ag supply chain for example), or if +/needed transformations are occurring (which may be as clear as the waters).  A good, simple, yet difficult-inconvenient question to ask, is something like, "Would this 'resilience' manifest in a more balanced nature/environment and society."  Two major considerations of how resilient+ one is are: 1) familiarity in one’s way of life and 2) age.

example in context - In the Northern Great Plains, there's rejection of the human link to climate change, with actions that emphasize adaptation and resilience rather than mitigation. (from article)

example in context - Are freedom-loving/-hyping Americans turning to resilience-loving next?  Well, it can be great (and hopefully lasts just as long as needed to get out of undesirable circumstances), and similar to an adage that focuses on the right balance of freedom ("freedom to vs. freedom from"), think of the consequences of resilient actions as either exclusive or inclusive.  Or - like nobody wants 'the bad guy'/enemy to be resilient; nobody wants a resilient... let's say virus or COVID-19.  So reflect, "In these/our 'resilient' actions, are we like a virus amongst the living planet?  How is it impacting all other living beings?"  Especially when one is already in very difficult circumstances (as is implied to even use the word resilient to begin with), to go beyond and worry about others may really be expecting too much, but (like 'being between a rock and a hard place') to have false confidence in the foundations of an exclusive, PPS-type of resilience, this is also undesirable.)

resoil/soilify - synonymous with "compost", to make soil again; the process of humans/consciously making soil

example in context - The formidable plan aimed to resoil much areas of our earth that had been degraded by destructive human activities.

example in context - Soil is normally made by Mother Nature naturally, but in these abnormal conditions characterized by us humans so hugely destroying our environment, it is a good idea we intelligently soilify all our food waste, humanure, and other appropriate organic and inorganic wastes the best way we know to regenerate our environment.

righteous radicalism - social phenomenon that is more apparent when there is disfunction in the norms of society, as this belief/force helps to rectify or balance the misguided, usually less conscious or evolved society.

example in context - Pride and righteousness are things that are often abused, and thus negatively associated with.  But righteous radicalism from a more credible, conscious living/frame of mind, can allow one to have a better discrimination to better judge various radical thoughts, actions, people.. like figuring out if the recent news of some Russian cyberattackers fight against the (arguably most) evil, (or very unhealthy and destructive) oil and meat businesses, was actually only for personal financial gain? to fight on the right side for the betterment and needs of society, now and for future generations? or what..?  At the end of the day, there are times when the feel or thought/intention of the radical (or "thug" in the eyes of the normal society that is itself suffocatingly thuggish and unaware of its own less intelligently directed energy that enables provoking, or weaker power) is justified, though the means of action is for many people (including the most rationale) typically unclear or arguable (as people are at different stages/levels, or not everybody is at the same level of Sadhguru ji or Sai Baba (see next example)) whether or not the radicals are righteous or not (as Jay-Z questions in "Justify My Thug," the contrasting means of MLK and Malcolm X, as Sita questions Rama, etc.), and it seems that usually Time will better reveal this.

example in context - Rather than taking a side of the British or Indians, Sai Baba points to his authority/righteousness as God, which "always works in his/our favor."  (Like Krishna taking sides in the Kurukshetra War?,) it so happens that the oppresed, radical Indians fighting for their freedom are righteous in that situation.

another example in context - I was waiting for, or wondering why mahathma Sadhguru did not better clarify about how many people who believe they are right(eous) have committed so many atrocities.  I thought there must be a reason like there are different kinds of intelligence, but wondered why he didn't do a little bit of simple, proper discrimination work regarding various kinds of righteous radicals, and to what (acceptable? peaceful/balanced?) extent their actions and way of life would really impact themselves, other people, and beings.  Consciously doing what one believes to be (and God knows, really is) right that really does not harm self or others, but instead can actually be uplifting yourself and others, is right, and when the normal, misguided society sees this as radical, then it can be understood as “righteous radicalism.”  Therefore, groups like isha, DGR, Auroville, etc. seem to be some groups that fit into this really good (though challenging, with its own deserved struggles and nuances) grouping.

example in context - How righteous am I? how righteous are you? Though the understandably usually “righteous in an inflated way of life” (like Lierre’s mention of righteous values people may have (the potential to express)) ought to be reconsidered, the how saintly test may serve as a proxy/indication for now.

(super) advanced example in context - Though righteous radicalism is usually perceived at macroscopic, historical levels of understanding, the concept shares a common thread to a more relatable, everyday occurrence in society of dynamically renegotiating the boundaries of normal and deviant as one may see what another does... not, and a few examples to clarify can be seen in  this video, or from Lord Krishna - the mischievous, butter-thief for the greater good... and there is the Law of Karma like Narasimha

current examples - Indigenous peoples, the deep green perspective, anti-Western/USA's offensive/invasive, occupational, and culturally hegemonic/malevolent forces (like the Taliban's perspective), the way work/activity should really be lead by (not money, but subjective feeling of actually wanting to do (meaningful/correct) work)

more historical examples - anti-Nazi, anti-slavery in the USA, American revolutionaries against the British rulers,

self-sufficient way of life - rather than the current, dominant, conventional way of life akin to the city, this is a means of existence that is more independent from that, self-empowering, pre-conquerors' invasion (in a responsive sense), local-oriented and Nature-aligned, sensible/human-scaled, interdependent with supportive community, abundant/rich, healthy, purposeful, brilliant

example in context (general) - From around the Industrial Revolution (late 1700s) till about the Information Revolution (early 2000s), those who seriously considered or actually lived a self-sufficient way of life (like the Amish; like in an ecovillage) had to be socially marginalized/unapproved, like by labelings of "savage" "primitive" "uncivilized"... and to even come to know of the plausibility (let alone experience the benefits) of such a way had been very difficult in the blanketing haze of the status quo in its dependency-making, Life-senseless, machine-scaled/-revered, less humane, imbalanced, less healthy, inherently destructive way of living, or "the system".

example in context - An important (even starting) focus to a self-sufficient way of life is around food.  Growing your own food can be thought of on a 0-10 scale, as can be seen in my blog there. Also, the Wheaton Eco Scale seen in the infograph here is another (beautiful) depiction.

example in context - The localvore diet is basically when the primary portion of one’s diet comes from "local" sources (whether local is from a yogic understanding or based on one's watershed, etc.)

example in context - No Keshav, your 15 mile walk (salutable, but kinda crazy) from LA’s Little India to your home does not mean you can count food imported from India to Little India’s markets as "yogic local"!  Even if you did that every time you needed such imported food, it would not be considered as local in the yogic sense.  The food has to actually be growing at that place within your walking range.

example in context (more specific) - Like Dr. Vandana Shiva has advocated for, a self-sufficient way of life includes the economic paradigm shift to instead plan for yourself and immediate family first, and then with the whole village (community), extending outward as a truly good earth steward and hopefully even socially approved, respectable person (such as the Guarani in Brazil, the 1-acre model in Maharashtra (that won 2017 Equator Prize & geared for women).

example in context - Sadhguru ji mentions only 5% maximum of our time should be transaction/market

example in context - From OAEC cookbook p. 6, “A common misperception about the OAEC kitchen garden is that it is “self-sufficient.”  There are many accomplished homesteads out there with the goal of self-sufficiency, but ours is “interdependence” rather than “independence.”  OAEC is a hub of cross-pollination.  Bioregional solidarity and support are necessary building blocks of community-scale resilience, and therefore we support local farms and micro-regional food distributors with our communally shared food dollars.”

slow money (environmentally sustainable) - given a relocalization paradigm where the group of people’s immediate/own ecosystem is valued/protected, as well as being conscientious to not harm other distant peoples environment, this is a kind of money/value that is earned slowly and steadily, with very great stability as it is not/less harmful in a holistic/environmental sense

note: of course there’s money that can be made “slowly” that is very much maligned, with the misguided Economy, but that is not the meaning here. Also, even more sustainable than “slow money” would to be even less/not connected to, or dependent on, the mainstream Economy like more isolated tribes/people that subsist off the land or other self-sufficient ways of life (like a 9 or 10), but the meaning here is for partial participation in that Economy

example in context- Of course the value of money is arbitrary and dynamic, but the underlying value of the mainstream Economy that is destructive, imbalanced, and dependent on nonsensical, unsustainable industrial levels of artificial energies (especially oil for example) is also unsustainable.  An economic paradigm shift to (re)localized ways of life would have the more gradual (weaning) shift that would include things like local exchanges, local currencies, and even transitional/relatively slow money.  I thought the well-established Twin Oaks community was an especially good example of slow money, where after the responsibilities of immediate community needs/work and few communal business activities are cooperatively done, “each member receives a small personal spending allowance ($75/mo.) to cover items/needs the community does not provide.”

(counter) example in context - An example of agribusiness-as-usual fast money (to contrast with slow money) is this easy-to-understand scenario from Solitude Farm (Auroville, Tamil Nadu/India):

Let’s take a local farmer growing an acre of peanuts. He spends a thousand rupees for plowing the land, another thousand rupees on compost, another thousand rupees on buying seeds, another thousand rupees on the first weeding, another thousand rupees for the second weeding and probably there are more maintenance and running costs. In that field, if Sundakkai, wild spinaches, Mudakathan or Thoothuvalai comes up, the farmer will immediately remove those plants as weeds. His focus, obviously, is on the economic gain those peanuts offer him. Those peanuts will be sold to the middle man and the farmer and his family receive no nutritional gain from the crop.  The farmer is squeezed within the economic paradigm of industrialized agriculture which values economic gain over  nutritional, medicinal, ecological, social and cultural values of the food he grows.

Source-Targeting Environmental Protection (STEP) - as opposed to what mostly passes today for "environmental protection" (see P.P.S. above for more understanding), this approach gets at the source of the environmentally destructive economic activity of humans.

main examples - Stopping the industrial sources of misguided business: oil/natural gas extraction, mining, deforestation, dams and canals, agriculture, fishing,

example in context - It is great and hopeful more people are becoming aware of the need to heal the environment that has been so harmed, from "being the change" to even supporting good intentioned causes like ecological restoration, reforestation, etc., but without STEP to block further environmental harm at the actual source, such efforts would obviously not be as effective, if not sort of silly,,, like, sort of tragic (like, again, Derrick Jensen's ER analogy)

example in context - The Global Commons Stewardship Index accounts for not just the domestic impacts of a country (like the less holistic EPI), but also the externalized/"spillover" impacts of a country.

stilldigenous - counterpart to "indigenous", these technically "non-indigenous" (yet good-intentioned / good-willed people) still have a way of life that is in balance with Nature like the typical/traditional way of life of those referred to as "indigenous"

example in context - Though BIPOC discrimination of non-colored ("white") people (especially due to their overwhelmingly bad track record against BIPOC and Nature.. and the natures of BIPOC) seemed unfair, these (too?) clever people knew that if they fixed their bad tendencies/reputations, and committed to a truly good way of life, they'd easily be embraced with an honorable "stilldigenous" status (at that level of thinking)

example in context - As opposed to exclusively "indigenous," IPLC (Indigenous peoples and local communities) makes very good sense (for example in this context), and can be the critical change needed in cases such as this one, where Brazil’s biggest bauxite mining firm denies riverine rights.  IBAMA does not have to help the stilldigenous locals because they are not PFIC-having “indigenous” or “Quilombola.”

example in context - Indigenous people (if still alive, sadly) usually have a great track record to not harm the environment like the developed, civilized society, but there's of course intradiversity of that categorization of "indigenous" that includes assimilated (to a violent, nearly unavoidable conqueror's culture) indigenous, and sometimes they also unfortunately participate in bad

upliftment, psychological/sath (conscious) vs. (unconscious) by mere virtue/karma/citta (intelligence unsullied by memory)

Example from Mere Sai  episode where Baba is so elevated that his mere presence/virtue has such uplifting power, and his oneness/yogic-like awareness is so genuine and strong.  Contrasted with the relatively lower/weaker level of thinking and subsequent being (that I currently have) to judge that we are all not just different by name, but by sort of constitution (though changeable, improvable) - from our subjective feeling of content/joy that is based on our karmas (including having the blessings of being in the presence of uplifting forces, like that leper had), and level of freedom (how animalistic or super human tendency?), or mukti (as Sadhguru explains the importance of here).

Sadhguru also explains this awareness nicely in his "Karma" book about how it is not one's karma, but our, collective karma..

If words are put in some way to uplift... if energies are put in some way to uplift, how aware are you, or are you aware? of your upliftment..

more words

bilkul - usually “certainly/sure” in Hindi, but Indian slang for too-kul paper bil money that is not warm/hot/h8, with life energies.  It should be reminded that other abstract (mostly fossil-fuel enabled) forms of money, like electronic-tied plastic cards or internet/crypto currencies, that has externalized cost to harm the environment is also too-kul.

example in context - Upon asking if they take e-payment, the seller gave an unimpressed, neagtive (though also somewhat confusing to the Hindi-speaking, Life-senseless programmer), "Bilkul"

bwhat - a form of "what", to be used when also suggesting or asking "but...?" simultaneously. especially in response to a narrower-minded, ignorant, or less-informed statement or expression. also, especially to be used with Indian or Spanish accents pronouncing "w" as "v" or "b" as "v", respectively.

example in context - Maya replied, "?bwhat...?" when the disappointing U.S.A. president declared building a wall on the U.S.A./Mexico border.

example in context - Confused around the nascent gender pronouns digital presentation of self (e.g. he/him/his whatever), the reality-based elder thought, "?bwhat!?," and then after hearing an excellent, dense briefing online, thought to add his own reality prosplains digital presentation for increased awareness linking with 9:41/10:01/13:59  more better --> …the pronouns? how about the responsibility (...responsibility) (cuz they too free)

brazilliant - a brilliant idea that came from brazil

example in context - A brazilliant idea is for the US pertinent authorities to this time engage in a good coup in the Latinx world with the strategic direction of "campaigners and academics" (from here) in an environmental-hostage situation, including to bypass the misguided, terrorist-like Bolsonaro & federal level, and instead appropriately pay directly to the effective, local level of governance, including enforcement in the form of good forest rangers. Also, this good, welcomed-by-most coup would encourage the truly mutual benefit of preventing unsustainable, unnecessary deforestation, and other strategic prioritisation plannings.

example in context - Sebastião Alves dos Santos articulates the brazilliant idea: "...and then if they're strong in their land*, other people will also take up this energy and learn from them. and it multiplies, the community becomes strong"
*fingers crossed on Climate Change or prayer for the right forces at work to drastically reduce human-induced Climate Change

fatestore - as is meant to be, as in what Fate has in store (or even Fate's door), English alternative to "adios"

example in context - when used as people are departing from each other, there are expressions that imply there will be another meeting, with phrases like "hope to meet again" or "till next time" (au revoir). And another phrase that is especially relevant for (expectation of) intention-heavy relations/communications, fatestore can be used (to balance), especially to signify a lack of intention/desire, but leaving it up to Fate/God's Will.  Often would be used with other faith-based phrases such as "God bless," "God is great," "Valle con Dios" (go with God), and  (perhaps redonedantly) "adios" (to God).

huh-sexual - indicating sexuality (such as "homosexual" or "heterosexual"), this is a category that suggests confusion akin to the expression “huh?,” as sexuality is naturally intended for procreation, to produce the next generation of offspring.  Huh-sexual suggests where there is sexual activity that is confusing this purpose.  Of course this includes homosexuality, but even heterosexuality that detracts/prevents the natural, offspring-bearing purpose of sex (from premeditated birth control to other/more fetished acts).

example in context - Huh-sexual can be better generally/initially understood through Sadhguru’s explanation of how we use life energies: "..sexuality is another expression of the same (life) energy, and one has to decide how much of their energy, in which direction (for what purpose) they want to send (or use) it..."

advanced example in context - It can be interesting to see such unnatural, huh-sexual behavior as rebalancing to (some) humans' (natures) very imbalancedly favored, dominating, & unsustainable relationship to the environment (as described in the meaning of "exergy" above: "sexual appetite/cravings would be less if survival (which is also relative to various needs of various people)  wasn’t as easy or in favor of us humans; wasn’t as supported by excess-energy consumption.  Another way to consider this is that the high degree of liveliness/attraction to sex-charged situations/manifestations, is likely at imbalanced/undeserved costs to others, biodiversity, uplifting or higher energies..")

ideallaw - as opposed to a written policy, rule, or law (with the correct intent/spirit) that is upheld in real world action, this is when a policy, rule, law is not validated upon observation

example in context - The WJP Rule of Law Index initiated a somewhat fanciful reflection of the use of "fair" for justice and skin color, but deeper still, the distinction between ideal and real, laws as ideas, the realness of many who really believe in laws (more than an idea), ideallaw to show the contrary, and a sort of karmic or all-awareness (like "God") to dynamically, or with interactive-reflexivity sort it all out accordingly.

KSH - Kommunication (And) Information Super Highway

example in context - Numerous ways to think of this K愛SH, internet, world-wide web, including as analogous to: the actual "wood wide web" in the soil fungal networks in nature; a wonderous, magnificent spider's web that higher intelligence(s) seems to have built (with bug-catching abilities included!); a fisherman's net (that has both intended and unintended catches/impacts); a watershed (and given water to be life) in the consecration of life energies.  The  K愛SH can also be seen as a sort of filtering tool to evolve our (collective) consciousness, with a sort of "survival of the fittest" of memes, knowledge, ultimately awareness

memore (expansive) - beyond the conventional definition of our internal memory of the past centered around an external-oriented, materialist perspective of reality, this is a centering of our self to the Supreme, deep within us, and so similarly seeing even present, yet external objects as the former perspective would see "the past" - things other than our true self.

example in context - By brilliantly relaying various types of memory - “evolutionary,” “genetic,” “atomic,” and maybe even “karmic” and “elemental” - Sadhguru wonderfully (like a wise magician) co-opts such nonsensical, outdated scientific pursuits like evolutionary biology, genetics, and atomic-level sciences, which is very much consistent with his reminder-preaching that "heaven" is not up there somewhere, but here and now, on planet earth..

Panca kosa  - (from Yoga for Arthritis by Dr. H R Nagendra) concept from Vedanta and spiritual lore of "5 layered" existence of all of us, and can contain in it the physical body (Annamaya Kosa) and the next three, subtle layers Pranamaya (vital airs), Manomaya (organs of mind), and Vianamaya (intellect and knowledge) Kosas.  The fifth is the Anandamaya (bliss) Kosa; the causal body from where all other layers take birth.

example in context - For a better theoretical framework/approach that is more inclusive than modern, merely gross-level science, the Taittireya Upanisat postulated and described in great detail the Panca Kosa concept, which was found to be the most holistic concept of human existence, in no way contradicting the modern systematic approach to the understanding of human body, and can be used as the foundation for yoga therapy.

example in context - Sadhguru's explanation of the non-physical, esoteric, subjectively experienced 5th layer (anandamaya kosa) can be better understood with the insightful, profound video, Sadhguru on Vasana karma and samskara

?uanswer - Question and answer combined, like in the form of a rhetorical question

example in context - Some of the great quanswers, in a beautiful couplet form were offered to me by the wise Sadhguru ji, from p. 203 of his recent book on karma: “The mind has its questions: But how exactly does this work? But what really does this mean? (like the science of consciousness?) The heart has its own questions, too: Why should this happen? Why is this so difficult to accept?”

scareful - combination of scared and careful

example in context - It's usually a good idea to do things carefully, but if you're doing it scarefully from a less desirable (even unnecessary) fear, then maybe you should first try to overcome that fear.

sunfruit - otherwise known as "pineapple"

example in context - Given that his favorite fruit was what most people morphologically called "pineapple", and knowing that the earth's sun not only provided the energy for the fruit's growth, but also the cross-sectioned fruit looked like the sun, he preferred to call it "sunfruit" (in honor of the great source of energy, the Sun)

toxic mimic - something that takes the form but perverts the content of something good

example in context - Authoritative yet misguided government and greenwashing are a few good examples of a toxic mimic, and Derrick Jensen has described this umbrella term numerous times (for example).

(advanced) example in context - In the light of real, smart, positive, hopeful, blessed thinking & actions in the face of more dire, adverse, and unfortunate situations, hopium can be considered a toxic mimic, however from the (lower) perspective of simple awareness-raising amongst (frustrating Ignorance) to see the reality as it is, such a toxic mimic (seen from above) is needed at that level.

(advanced) example in context - The wickedly deceptive, often hard-to-catch use of "sustainable" in actually green-washed promotion of one's business, is a toxic mimic of the real meaning of the environmental type of sustainability that's being mimicked (the environmental sustainability that is environmentally healthy now, as well as sustainable for future generations).  Instead, the green-washed, toxic "sustainable" (rather cleverly, or at least effectively) usually does have some rectification of their environmentally destructive ways (but at a merely more symptomatic, PPS level, while continuing to support environmentally unsustainable activities, and including the broader misguided Economy by extension too).  This is well stated in (Jensen's book) Bright Green Lies, "Our way of life doesn’t need to be saved/"sustained".  The planet (is the one that really) needs to be (sustained and protected) from our way of life."  Hopefully enough people have the proper discrimination to know when the toxic mimics are being used so that it can be understood and not-supported appropriately.
