Kate Grandbois, MS, CCC-SLP, BCBA, LABA

Kate is a certified and licensed speech and language pathologist (SLP) and board certified behavior analyst (BCBA) who serves children and adults with developmental disabilities. She specializes in augmentative alternative communication (AAC), autism and related neurological disorders, speech and language disorders, and individuals with complex communication and behavioral needs.

After graduating from Connecticut College with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Human Development, she became interested in the field of speech and language pathology through working in autism research at the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, Maryland. After earning a masters degree in Communication Disorders from Emerson College in Boston, she gained clinical experience in a variety of settings. The most notable experiences include working at OTA Watertown, a clinic specializing in sensory integration disorders, and LADDERS / The Lurie Center / Spaulding Outpatient Center for Children in Lexington, an outpatient hospital setting that specializes in autism and other related disorders, pediatric speech and language disorders, and augmentative alternative communication. In 2015 Kate completed a post-graduate certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis at Endicott University after which she became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. In addition to private practice, Kate is adjunt faculty at Northeastern University, serves on the board of advisors for Hacking Autism (an initiative of Autism Speaks), and is the former President and Co-Founder of The Speech and Language Network, Inc. She also serves on AAC Advisory Board for Mass Advocates for Children.
