Gigs & Live Music

Live audio and video footage of guess who??? Me! Singing at various venues

Quote: "Voice of an Angel" - Alexander O'Neal

About Me

I've been singing at lots of different and wonderful places, for........ (Let's just say over 10 years) I've even sung at a stag do, and a few hen nights too!

It's obviously a job that I enjoy as I'm still doing it!

I love to sing SOUL, a bit of MOTOWN, quite a few SKA & REGGAE tunes, a little JAZZ, the DISCO CLASSICS of course, ROCK, some RARE GROOVES, JAZZ-FUNK and a little MODERN SOUL too.

I gig with just me and my P.A, no band behind me like the pic above, that was at a family wedding lol. I'd love to do that but it's actually better for me financially to do it alone, all by myself, just me, on my jack jones! And of course you lovely people, hopefully up for a party!!!

MY GIG REPERTOIRE

Andertons 50th Anniversary

Singing for Andertons 50th Anniversary was spectacular. The celebration was held in Guildford Cathedral and it was huge. An amazing live band comprising some of the most talented musicians around, strings, horns, and some very talented singers.

SUPPORTING ALEXANDER O'NEAL

When I was asked to sing in Portugal as a supporting act to Alexander O'Neal I was over the moon! This guy was a massive part of my love for music growing up and still is today.

Here are just a few of his hits:

He's one of those people that I never dreamed I'd ever actually meet, let alone sing with and enjoy a working holiday with. What an inspirational and brilliant voice. Nice guy too.

I was so grateful for this opportunity as I know that I'll probably never meet anybody with such talent for the rest of my life, even if I could choose between the most famous of the famous... he's still one of my absolute favourite voices of all time along with:

(Although, Jocelyn Brown is actually another dream of mine that came true, but that's another story!)

Back to Alex: I tried my best to play it cool when I was around him, but I doubt very much that it came off anything near cool!!!

Alex, Thank You for your friendly encouragement, complements, professionalism and for the privilege of singing with you XXX

And I do actually have the T-shirt!

(I'll find it and put a pic here LOL)

Here's a clip of him out-singing me when we were all having our last meal before we went home.

After we all got back home, he invited me along to sing with him at some of his concert dates in England THAT NIGHT. I WAS SO EXCITED, I knew all of his songs,

Then I realised......

... I knew all of his parts..... but not the parts I WOULD ACTUALLY BE SINGING... the FEMALE VOCALS LOL!

So, the moral of this story is:

Always learn BOTH parts of duets by your favourite artists . . . JUST IN CASE YOU GET ASKED TO JOIN THEM IN CONCERT!

"I'VE LEARNT THE FEMALE PARTS NOW ALEX!"
