Welcome to my personal webpage.
I'm Jiao Wang (王姣 in Chinese). I am an assistant professor in the Department of Economics at University of Sussex Business School (since January 2025).
I previously worked at Melbourne Institute of Applied Economic and Social Research, Faculty of Business and Economics, The University of Melbourne from 2016-2024.
I obtained my Ph.D. degree at the Australian National University (ANU) in December 2017. I completed my Master's degree in International and Development Economics at ANU and received the Helen Hughes Master Degree Prize for achieving the highest grades in class (top 1 out of 200). I graduated from Peking University with B.A. in Economics and B.S. in Physics, from China Center for Economic Research (CCER) and Department of Physics, respectively.
My fields of research are Monetary Economics, Open Economy Macroeconomics and Chinese Economy. If you are interested in finding out more, please go to here.
