About Me
About Me
I am a WiSE Gabilan Assistant Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) at the University of Southern California (USC). Before joining USC, I was an Assistant Professor of ISE at Lehigh University and a Presidential and Dean Postdoctoral fellow at Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy of Carnegie Mellon University. I hold a Ph.D. in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan, where I had the privilege of being co-advised by Prof. Amy Cohn and Prof. Ruiwei Jiang. I also hold an M.S. in Systems Science and Industrial Engineering from Binghamton University and a B.S.E in Biomedical Engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology.
My methodological research expertise and interests include data-driven optimization under uncertainty and (mixed) integer programming. My primary application areas and expertise are healthcare operations and analytics, facility location, transportation systems, and fairness-promoting optimization.
I am an Associate Editor for Transportation Science, INFORMS Journal on Computing, and Healthcare Management Science. In addition, I serve on the Early Career Editorial Advisory Board of Transportation Research Part C.
