About Me

Welcome to my webpage! I'm an Assistant Professor of Finance at Northeastern University, Boston.

My journey to academics has been rather eventful: I trained as an engineer and gained my first professional experience at Oracle Corp, where I developed and maintained project accounting software. This experience got me interested in finance so I went on to do an MBA.

After business school, I worked as an M&A investment banker in Hong Kong where I developed skills in execution/valuation modeling. I worked on large M&A transactions in the healthcare ($200mn buy-side) and energy ($700mn sell-side) sectors. My industry experience has largely shaped my world-view of academic finance. I'm excited about empirical research, and believe in the power of data to answer questions of policy and practical interest.

I earned my PhD from Olin Business School, Washington University in St. Louis.
