Welcome to the research webpage of Dr. Kahyun Hur at KIST

The primary goal of our research is to develop "smart" functional materials derived from polymers and understand their physics at the atomic-, meso-, and all the way to macro-scale. Based on knowledge of physics and chemistry, novel polymeric materials are designed and engineered utilizing a variety of computational approaches as well as a combination of multiple fabrication techniques. The application of such materials ranges from electronics and energy to biomedical applications.
