The landscape is a universal language all can relate to, whether it is the lonely figure wishing for all to share in the solitude or serentity of the the moment while watching the sun set or the sun rise. There is a sense of timelessness and memories that the landscape can evoke.
One can assimilate nature and by painting it, an expression of unspoken thought can eminate from the landscape. This is the hope of the artist- to express and evoke those feelings and memories so that the viewer can share in their own memories and feelings.
