Jorge Velilla has a BSc in Mathematics, and a MSc in Economics. He is also a PhD in Economics from the University of Zaragoza. Jorge Velilla has completed his formal education with specialization courses in different institutions, as Columbia University, Stanford University, Georgia State University, or the London School of Economics. Jorge Velilla is an Associate Professor at the University of Zaragoza, and is affiliated to the Global Labor Organization (GLO), and a member of the Executive Committee of the Spanish Association of Labor Economics. He has been Assistant Professor at the University of Zaragoza and the University of La Rioja, and Visiting Scholar at Columbia University and at the University of Valladolid. His main areas of research are Transport Economics and Household Economics, with special emphasis on time use, commuting behaviors, and intrahousehold issues. He has published his research in international journals, such as The Economic Journal, The Journal of Transport Geography, Transport Policy, Economic Modelling, or The Journal of Regional Science.
