Junhuan Zhang is an Associate Professor of Finance, and the deputy head of Department of Finance at the School of Economics and Management at Beihang University. He was a visiting scholar at University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Vanderbilt University, George Mason University, and a postdoctoral research associate of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Georgia.
His research interests focus on application of AI and Blockchain in Finance, especially Computational & Behavioral Finance, Market Microstructure, Machine Learning, Cryptocurrencies, and Blockchain Finance. His research has been published in finance and economics journals including European Journal of Finance, Quantitative Finance, Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization, Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting.
Zhang has served as an associate editor of International Review of Economics & Finance, Cogent Economics & Finance, Blockchain, and an academic editor of PLOS ONE.
Zhang received a bachelor's degree in Information & Computing Science and a master’s degree in Probability Theory & Mathematical Statistics from Beijing Jiaotong University in 2008 and 2011, and a PhD in Computer Science (Computational Finance) from King's College London in 2015, respectively.
