I am a PhD candidate in Finance at Tilburg University. I am on the job market in the 2024-2025 academic year.
I am mainly interested in the field of household finance with a specialization in pension finance. I seek to better understand individual behavior on financial decisions in the real world, and search for an optimal policy/product design to enhance the income stability of retirees and hedge against longevity risks in an aging society. In this respect, my job market paper investigates the welfare effects of variable annuities when individuals with different socio-economic characteristics (educational levels) share longevity risks, emphasizing the potential pension gap between fund members. I am also interested in the ESG investing of institutional investors such as pension funds and insurers.
My PhD position is co-funded by the Korea Life Insurance Association and Tilburg University, and I am under the supervision of prof. dr. T. E. Nijman and prof. dr. A. De Waegenaere.
