Mrs. DeSutter's Classroom Rules
Procedures:
Entering Class:
Be in or at your seat when the bell rings.
Look at the board to find directions or problems to complete.
Give your pass to the teacher, as soon as you come in, if you are late.
Leaving Class
The bell is a signal for me to release you NOT for you to leave!
Clean up around your area and push your chair in.
If you leave before class is over, sign out on the SIGN OUT SHEET near the door. If you leave school, you must sign out at the office.
The Raider Pass is to be used during class to go to the restroom or to your locker during class.
Homework: Homework helps you absorb material that is being discussed in class. Spending ample time on homework will make study time for quizzes and tests much easier.
Absences-Students will be allowed one day to make up their work for every day they were absent. Please inform me if you still are not feeling well or of other circumstances so we can work out a schedule for work completion. Check the “WERE YOU ABSENT” board as soon as you come back to find your missing work. YOU are responsible for going to the board and getting your work and turning it in!
Late Work-A paper is considered late if it is not turned in at the time that all assignments are collected. Homework not turned in on time will result in a ZERO. The work will still be expected to be turned in or a teacher detention will be given for student to complete the late work.
*l understand that circumstances arise beyond students' control. Please discuss your situation with me and we can work on a solution.*
**On projects worth a large amount of points, I typically give two to three days to turn the assignment in.**
Technology Policy:
Phones are to be placed in the phone caddy when you come into the room. Anyone found with their phone after the bell has rung, will have the phone taken and can get it back from the office at the end of the day.
