AAS 243 Visitors: See below for Standards-Based Testing syllabi, schedules, and templates.
In my teaching, I utilize active learning techniques such as:
Workshop Physics Activity Guide
Think-Pair-Share
Lecture Tutorials
Some of my most used resources for physics/astronomy teaching are:
University of Colorado at Boulder Physics Education Research Resources
PICUP: Partnership for Integration of Computation into Undergraduate Physics
PhysPort: Supporting physics teaching with research-based resources
At Westminster University, I have taught approximately:
200 different students in a two-semester introductory physics sequence (trigonometry-based and calculus-based),
50 different students in upper-level physics (Modern Physics, Analytical Mechanics, Electrodynamics, Quantum Mechanics, Astrophysics, Mathematical Methods)
50 students in an interdisciplinary Honors seminar titled "Science, Power, and Diversity"
and 80 students in general education astronomy.
