Maybe it is because I have more years behind me than is front, but I seem to be attracted to subject matter that is worn, thrown away, left or become a backdrop to something new.
I find beauty in these subjects that get passed over.
Powerful beauty, not prettiness, has been a passion of mine all my life.
Destruction, chaos, violence can easily create an emotional response.
Beauty takes a bit of work to not fall into pretty.
