I am a researcher at RWI – Leibniz Institute for Economic Research and a professor at the University of Duisburg-Essen. I am affiliated with the Institute of Labor Economics (IZA) and the Centre for Research and Analysis of Migration (CReAM) at University College London.

My main research interest is in applied economics, with a particular focus on labor, migration, and education economics.
