Artist's Statement
There is a poem by Robert Henri written in 1923 called “The Art Spirit” that says better than I can what caused me to take up painting.
There are moments in our lives
There are moments in a day,
When we seem to see beyond the usual
Such are the moments of our greatest happiness
Such are the moments of our greatest wisdom.
It is these special moments that I choose to put to a canvas. Make of my art what you will.
