Juan A. Echenique
Hola!
I am a health economist. My primary research focuses on understanding how policies and the environment influence children's health trajectories, particularly nutrition and mental health. My motivation is that my work helps us understand how social determinants influence children's health and generate evidence that can inform policies that promote more equitable outcomes.
I am a Postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Population Health at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. I have a Ph.D. in Policy Studies and an M.A. in Economics from the University of Maryland – College Park.
I am in the 2024-2025 job market. I will also attend the IAHPS 2024 Annual Conference and the 2024 APPAM Fall Conference.
