Juan A. Echenique

Hola! 

I am a health economist. My primary research focuses on understanding how policies and the environment influence health trajectories, particularly mental health. My motivation is that my work helps us understand how social determinants influence children's health and generate evidence that can inform policies that promote more equitable outcomes.

I am a Postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Population Health at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. I have a Ph.D. in Policy Studies and an M.A. in Economics from the University of Maryland – College Park.
