1) "It was always my dream to be able to sing my favorite songs while accompanying myself with guitar. I got a possibility to take guitar classes being already 29 years old, which I believe a bit late. Another problem, my favorite songs for the most part are Russian, I didn't want to choose a guitar instructor by the language only (I believe music is pretty international thing :))
JP has cleared up all my doubts just in a few lessons. First of all (and the most important!), his lessons are well structured and you can see that JP assess student's capabilities very adequate and organizes the lessons accordingly. You feel how much he enjoys what he is doing and this 'infects' you: all of a sudden you know you can do it if you follow his instructions and be persistent while practicing "that Fmajor" chord. What I like the most about the lessons is that JP is able to answer virtually any of my questions.
Another great thing, JP is teaching me how to play my Russian songs although he doesn't speak the language! It works as additional encouragement for me: if he can break Russian songs into 'digestable' pieces for me, I MUST practice and get it going because there is no more excuses why it cannot be done.
It is fun to learn with JP :)" -Alina
2) "I am 16 years old and JP has been teaching me guitar for four years. He also has taught me to play the ukulele. What I like about working with JP is that he is patient and kind. He understands the struggles of learning a new instrument and he works slowly with me. JP also teaches me the music I want to learn. He is very flexible and good at what he does. I love learning from JP. He makes learning fun!" -Catherine
3) "JP is a guitar instructor who actually teaches… he doesn’t just play something then say “now you do it “. He is conversant with and can teach different styles of music eg. rock, pop, blues, country etc. I've been a student of JP ‘s for over five years and can attest to the fact that he is an excellent communicator, encouraging, nonjudgmental and a motivator par excellence. Thanks to JP I'm thoroughly enjoying my musical journey and so will you. You'll be playing out and having a blast in no time…."
