With every Flight there will be some sort of data collection. Data collection will be accessed from direct downloads from the ground station or FTP Site. My objective is to complete each survey and offer the data as part of the Aerial Survey. I propose to sell the data and map as well as subscription to the FTP site for access to our base map that will include point cloud data and Aerial survey data.
My goal is to offer the data to everyone or all Survey companies even if they didn’t have a UAV or UAS system. I plan on allowing full access to the data based on flights flown in or around the local area of Providence RI. I purpose that we begin flying missions collecting as much data as possible to begin creating base maps to be accessed via FTP site. The Airtopo data will be compared to published monuments that are published on D.O.T. or other state and federal USGS Datums via their appropriate website via there GIS dept. The shapefiles that are used for underground utilities will be shared as well. The accuracy will be within 1’foot or .50’tenths of a 1’foot at 500’feet to 1,000’feet As we incorporate next generation laser technology and Lidar equipment our tolerances will be lowered for Analysis .
The DJI F550 with the modified scanner and camera can detail cell towers and bridges. It has reached 8,000’feet and scanned roads and bridges within the Providence and Boston areas. I am confident that the data scanned today will be marketable tomorrow. A Scanworld Library will be created and maintained by Me Peter Fonseca and published to local muni dept’s like fire,police,rescue, and Electric companies. Equal time for access flights. Access flights are the ability to fly along and see what it’s like to be onboard during missions. FPV is the correct description for these Access flights with one major difference Access flights are chances to fly along to do project RECON and that would be thru subscription only.
This is just a small portion of our duties during the course of a normal survey day. I hope I am able to offer these solutions to a diverse group of people and interests. It should be all our responsibilities to teach and learn from each other so that we may motivate and encourage the next generation of Professional Land Surveyors.
