I am excited to be returning to the library media center for the 2025–2026 school year! This year, I will be serving students at both Jeffers Pond Elementary and La ola del lago.
Returning to Jeffers Pond feels like coming home. I previously spent 14 wonderful years there as a teacher librarian before moving into a middle school Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) Peer Coach role. I am also thrilled to be back at La ola del lago, where I helped establish the library program. It is especially rewarding to return to the students and staff who helped create such a vibrant learning space.
Throughout my career, I have taught in St. Peter, Eden Prairie, and Prior Lake, where I have spent the past 24 years serving students and families.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the College of St. Scholastica and a Library Media Science Degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
One of my favorite parts of being a teacher librarian is helping students discover books they love and hearing about their latest reading adventures. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with the five boys in my life—my wonderful husban and three amazing sons. In my free time, you can often find me reading a good book, exploring educational resources, learning about literacy instruction, or kayaking on one of Minnesota’s beautiful lakes.
