About Me

I will be back in the library media center for the 2024-2025 school year! For the past three years I enjoyed working with teachers as a TOSA peer coach at the middle schools.. Prior to that role, I was a  teacher librarian for 14 years & a classroom teacher for 13 years,  I have taught in three different towns: St. Peter, Eden Prairie, and for the past 23 years,  in Prior Lake.  I have a masters in Curriculum and Instruction from the College of St. Scholastica and a Library of Media Science Degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato. 

I love teaching and visiting with my students about their latest and favorite books!  When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with the five boys in my life: a wonderful husband, three amazing sons, and a fun loving pet poodle. During my free time I also enjoy sitting down with a good book, exploring educational sites on the Internet, reading up on literacy instruction and kayaking on one of the many  beautiful lakes in the area.
