I was born in Cherai, a coastal town in the Ernakulam District of Kerala, India. My father, the late Mr. Viswanathan T. K., and my mother, Mrs. Sudhakshina C. S., raised me alongside my sister and two brothers.
My wife, Dr. Rini E. G., is a physicist who has worked at IIT Indore. We are blessed with two daughters—Ananya T. J., the elder, and Arya T. J., the younger.
I completed my schooling at Rama Varma Union High School in Cherai, and pursued my Pre-Degree and B.Sc. studies at S. N. M. College, Maliankara, Kerala. I later obtained my M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kerala.
I have been working at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia since 2002.
In my leisure time, I enjoy listening to music and reading books.
