Nicki Deuster’s body-pieces, moving innocently in space and in time, call to mind the impressions and scars that personal experiences, emotions and feelings leave on the skin. The figures she presents have printed on them as on a map, and in her daring personal language, the traces of these individual impressions that, once reworked, connect up with the collective experience.
