Formation: Dr. Massa has received a PhD degree in Computational and Industrial Mathematics and a Master degree in Systems Engineering, after finished his Systems Engineer Degree from UNICEN University, Argentina.
Research: Main research topics are Programming Languages, Computer Vision, Computer-Aided Diagnosis and Simulations for Radiotherapy Planning. He has performed research stays at Universitat de les Illes Ballears, Mallorca, Universitat de Barcelona, Universidad de Jaén, Spain, Technische Universität Dresden and Christian Albrechts Universität zu Kiel, Germany, among others. Has published more than 50 articles including journals and conference proceedings. He has advised and co-advised 4 graduate Phd fellowships (4 more in progress), and about 50 engineer under-graduate students.
Teaching: He is a professor in charge of "Programming Languages I", "Image Processing", "Computer Simulations for Radiotherapy Planning" and "Programming Languages Workshop" degree courses at UNICEN. Also is involved in "Compilers Design", "Medical Informatics" and "Communication and Information Technologies for Health" graduate courses at Exact Sciences Faculty at UNICEN.
Knowledge transference: He conducts health and technology knowledge transference projects to public, private and non-profit institutions, such as Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires and other health institutions.
Community relationships and scientific divulgation: He is involved in different programs, public talks and events intended to divulge knowledge to society.
