Who are we ?

We are sure that Belgium, being in the centre of the old and new Europe, with its highly developed motorway and railway systems and its vast cultural heritage, will appeal to you for a holiday.

We are a (non-smoking) family: Josee (76) and Michael (79). The three children - Michiel, Marjon and Pauwel - have left home and live with their partners, Michiel in Herent near Leuven, daughter Marjon in Zonhoven near Hasselt and Pauwel in Aarschot. Josee is a retired teacher of German. Michael has been training teachers of English-as-a-foreign-language at the university of Leuven, and has retired as well. 

We are both Servas members, too, and Josee is a 5W (Women Welcome Women WorldWide) member, as well (see home page for links to those organisations).

We are specifically interested in a mainly residential holiday, suitable as a starting point for short half or full day trips or walks in nature, perhaps a couple of longer excursions of a couple of days, alternated with more local activities like shopping in town, or visiting museums, and most of all, enjoying beautiful scenery around, sea and/or mountains.
