Parents Role in Club

Dear Volleyball Player,

Since this is a year that there are some rule changes, all Heart of America registered volleyball players need to complete online clinics.

The first step in the process is to logon to your Webpoint account (where you did your individual registration).

Once you have logged in, you will be able to Register for the Clinics you need to take.

Go under the Region Clinics tab and select the Region Ref/Score Clinics option.

Find the clinics you need to take:

If you are in an age group that is 14 or younger (11 and under, 12 and under etc), sign up for the HA18_141 2017-18 JR 14&Under Players Officiating Clinic.

If you are in the age groups 15 or older (18 and under, 16 and under etc.), sign up for the HA18_151 JR Players 15&Over Officiating Clinic.

You register only once for the clinics.

Once you have registered, click on the red USAV Academy button to take your clinics. Make sure to first open the INSTRUCTIONS slide and finish with the CONGRATULATIONS slide, to make sure you get the credit for your completion.

Almost all clinics start out with a Quiz. If you can pass the quiz because you already know the materials, you can go through it pretty quickly.

Attached are screen shots of the process.

If you already have started or completed your clinics: Great Job! In that case you can ignore this email

Confronting Crazy Sports Parents

I pledge to promote good sportsmanship in youth sports.

To honor the rules of the game at all times.

To respect officials, umpires and referees understanding that they are doing their best.

To remember that my actions on the sidelines and in the stands reflect my commitment to teaching my kids what it means to be a good sport.

To remind kids that part of being a teammate is supporting each other no matter the outcome.

To respect the opposing team, their coaches and fans, knowing that without opponents there would be no competition.

To encourage kids, win or lose, so that youth sports stays fun, positive and full of the life lessons I hope they gain from playing sports.

I pledge to do my part to promote sportsmanship, ensuring that every play is a positive one.
