Jong Piano Studio

Pin Pin Jong has a passion for nurturing the love of music making for pianists of all ages and levels. Mrs. Jong grew up in Malaysia where she studied and trained under The Royal Academy School of Music. Later, she received a Performance Diploma (P.C.) and a Teaching Diploma (A.T.C.L.) from The Royal School of Music, London.

Mrs. Jong furthered her studies in the United States, graduating with a Bachelor of Music degree from Meredith College, where she was a student of Dr. James Clyburn. She received her Master of Music degree in Piano Pedagogy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she studied under Dr. Kenneth Drake, Reid Alexander and Christos Tsitsaros.

Mrs. Jong taught applied piano and class piano at Meredith College for twelve years. She is an active member of the North Carolina Music Teachers Association and was the second vice president, yearbook chair and treasurer for The Raleigh Piano Teachers Association. Mrs. Jong is frequently asked to judge piano competitions and festivals and her students have won recognition both locally and across the state. Mrs. Jong is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music and has been teaching for more than 30 years. Presently, Mrs. Jong resides in Cary with her husband and two children.
