I'm currently Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Bilkent University. I previously held a Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, at the University of Calgary.
I work in metaphysics, the philosophy of action, and the philosophy of language. I have two ongoing research projects: one on the metaphysics of parts and wholes (and specifically, on the thesis that a whole is identical to its parts); and one on the metaphysics of negative actions (intentional omissions, refrainments, etc.). The latter project has yielded a book, Negative Actions: Events, Absences, and the Metaphysics of Agency, published by Cambridge University Press.
