Terminology:
“Response types” refer to either unbounded counts (e.g., Poisson and negative binomial random variables), bounded counts (e.g., Bernoulli, binomial, multinomial), or continuous data.
“Spatio-temporal” refers to the setting where each observation has an associated region/location and a time point associated with it.
Key:
Green= Single response type, which is dependent across observations
Red= Single response type that shows dependence across variables, locations, and time points
Purple = Single response type that shows dependence across spatial and temporal scales (e.g., counties, states, census tracts, time periods, etc.)
