Opportunities
I encourage students to become involved with my research, and I am always happy to discuss projects.
Prospective students should email me a CV, a brief description of your research interests and background, and a description of your experience in genetics (including any classes/labs/workshops that you may have taken).
Undergraduate research
There are various paths to undergraduate research at UH-Hilo:
- Internships
- NAPIRE
- Directed studies (can be similar to an honors program)
Graduate research
- M.Sc.: Tropical Conservation Biology & Environmental Science (TCBES)
- Ph.D.: UH Hilo does not offer a Ph.D. program in Biology. However, there may be opportunities for me to co-supervise students enrolled at UH-Mānoa or elsewhere.
Postdoctoral research
- I would be extremely happy to host Postdoctoral Researchers that have their own fellowships. If you would like to develop a project to conduct at UH Hilo, please contact me to discuss it.
