My name is Johra Muhammad Moosa, and I hold a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics from the University of Waterloo, where I worked under the supervision of Prof. Bin Ma. My research focused on improving peptide identification rates and predictive modeling in bioinformatics. I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at Public Health Ontario (PHO), where I contribute to advanced machine learning projects. Prior to my PhD, I was an Assistant Professor at Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
I'm a nature enthusiast and stamp collector who cherishes the beauty of our world through both stamps and photographs. Since moving to Canada, I've fallen in love with the diverse seasons and breathtaking landscapes. At home, my passion for nature extends to caring for over 50 plants.
As a Computer Scientist, I find purpose in using my skills to tackle challenges in Bioinformatics and Machine Learning, fields that never cease to intrigue me.
Beyond technology, I'm a digital designer, and you are welcome to explore my creations @mayabonka and @charubeebe. My motto is simple yet profound: "Color the YOUnique YOU"
