I am Associate Professor (as a DFG-funded "Heisenberg-W2-Professor") at the Institute for Philosophy II of Ruhr-University Bochum and I was principal investigator of the DFG-funded Emmy Noether Group Experimental Philosophy and the Method of Cases (EXTRA).
My main areas of research are metaphilosophy, epistemology, experimental philosophy, and argumentation theory. I am also interested in the philosophies of mind and language, metaphysics, metaethics, and philosophy of science.
From 2016 to 2018, I was managing director ("Geschäftsführer") of the German Society for Analytic Philosophy (GAP).
