Read a story about a Springfield Model 1903 that went to Britain in WWII and now resides in the NRA's Firearms Museum in Virginia. The owner was Major John W. Hession, an exceptionally good competitive shooter who set several records with the rifle. One fantastic one was set in 1909 when he fired 67 consecutive bullseyes at 800 yards,a record never before equaled and nor since broken.
