This video was crafted to announce to our community that Westlake Charter School was purchasing a parcel of land for our future permanent high school campus. This required a subtle balance of excitement for our future and acknowledgment that our current community will remain in a temporary location.
In the spring of each year, high school seniors produce a senior project. This young man followed his principal, John Eick, for a year to make this video, highlighting the culture and community that was built throughout the year. Although this video was not produced by me, it is a digital introduction to the work I do with students.
Each year, as a High School Principal, it is important to engage the community of learners and laugh a little before launching high stakes testing.
