PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The Computer programmers write code instructing for computer systems to let the machine perform specific tasks.

SCOPE:

The Programmers generally specialize in a particular side of computing, such as server software, system software, office applications or wireless or Web applications. They create computing tools, while systems programmers write the system software that runs these tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develop new computer programming methods

2. Development of programs themselves

3. Consult with outside parties for the construction of computer programming methods and the programs themselves

4. Follow the progress of programs to ensure that they are operating correctly and fix any program errors that might occur along the way

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS:

Knowledge

• Design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models

• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services

• Arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications

• Structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words

• Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming

Skills

• Possess an analytically mind

• Possess a teamwork attitude

• Good communication skills with others

• Well versed in various computer programs and methods

SALARIES DETAILS

The Programmer salary is £38.000 per annum.
