II Workshop on Advances in Collective Choice
Louvain-la-Neuve, April 27, 2007
Scope
In 2006, the Center for Operations Research and Econometrics (CORE) at the Université catholique de Louvain, and the Department of Economics at the Universiteit Maastricht embarked upon a joint venture to strengthen the link between both institutions. Once a year members of both institutions meet on one of the two venues for a one-day workshop. The aim of the so-called Workshop on Advances in Collective Choice (whose first edition was held in Maastricht on April 29, 2006) is to bring together researchers from both institutions with common research interests in normative economics in general, and issues of collective choice in particular. Researchers from other institutions sharing these interests are also welcome to participate. The emphasis of the workshop lies on discussion and its format usually consists of six presentations followed by discussion on the issues addressed in the presentations. This workshop is one of the activities financed by the IAP-Network to which both institutions belong.
