Teaching

In the fall semester of 2017, I introduced (with Dr Eamonn Murray) a new course in the Department of Materials entitle "Materials modelling with density-functional theory" (MSE 404). I also taught again the CDT-TSM course Electronic Structure of Materials and Vector Calculus (MSE201).

In the spring semester of 2017, I taught (together with Dr Arash Mostofi) the "Group Research Strategy Project" for the students of the Centre for Doctoral Training in Theory and Simulation of Materials at Imperial College. In addition, I taught again the module on density-functional theory in the course "Methods of Simulating Materials" for the CDT-TSM students.

In the fall semester of 2016, I taught Vector Calculus (MSE201) for the undergraduate students in Materials Science. In addition, I am teaching again with Paul Tangney the course Electronic Structure of Materials for the CDT TSM students.

In the spring semester of 2016, I taught (together with Dr Arash Mostofi) the "Group Research Strategy Project" for the students of the Centre for Doctoral Training in Theory and Simulation of Materials at Imperial College. In the course, the students will learn how to design a research strategy and write a grant proposal. The class is taught in collaboration with Fernando Castro from the National Physical Laboratory.

In addition, I taught again the module on density-functional theory in the course "Methods of Simulating Materials" for the CDT-TSM students.

In the fall semester of 2015, I taught (together with Paul Tangney) the course "Electronic Structure of Materials" for the students of the Centre for Doctoral Training in Theory and Simulation of Materials at Imperial College.
