Looking for musicains/artistes to perfrom on the Music Village Fundraiser, in Croydon, CR0 1FF. On the 18th of June. 6pm -9pm.

have already got my good friend from Ghana, Spoof, to do a DJ Mix with me and others. Also My friends in two lots of trios, playing Jazz/World. Plus, Samba drumming, African food, and Drink.

Full list of Performers out soon.

There will also be Raffle, and tickets for entry are £7, payable at the door, and soon available on Eventbrite.

Funds are being raised to get basic infracture set up on the site; this site (the plot of land) is on a twenty year lease for this project, by the kind support of Robert, my Brother. Also a muso, and based in Bristol.

Phase One of development for this project include;

Loos, a bio-gas model,

Water, souced from a bore hole, and an overhead tank,

Electricity, from the main power grid.

A little second hand Van.

From my experience with running a succesful Jazz club in Ghana in the 90's, where incidentally, Nina Simone, of blessed memory, once performed, Loos are very important, and in this case i am looking at new ways of addressing this important facility. I am hoping to build a bio-gas loo, as this could provide light for the project, in more ways than one.

Water; Ghana has problems with her domestic water supply, and most households are resorting to digging wells, or drilling bore holes for clean and safe water. This would have an overhead water tank, and then the plumbing necessary.

For electricity, although i am looking at long term Solar solutions, getting connected to the National grid is the most practical at this point. Although very erratic at the moment, it should be running better, with additional power from the newly commisioned Bui dam.

Transport;

I am looking at a second hand van, preferrably a diesel model. My research on this favours the Older VW transporter, which will be sourced from europe.

This is a rugged and reliable workhorse, and can be serviced without modern te4cnological requirements ie computerised autodiagnostic repairs.
