Updated 25 July 2024
Welcome to my Home Page. Note that due to Google storage limitations I have reduced the resolution on almost all of the photos to a maximum of 1024 x 768 pixels. The following pages on my site also feature some cyber-articles that I prepared for the old Sn3 and NWNG-Sn3 groups on Yahoo! Groups but these groups merged and have now migrated over to Groups.io hosting as below:
The next page is a description on how you can easily add an operating spout assembly to a V&T Models water tank, using a Switchmaster switch motor and a RixRax mounting bracket.**NOTE**: Updated 26 July 2019 with PBL sound and animation module upgrade!
The next three pages will document a typical operating session over my first layout, with the first page following some of the through freights and the following page a way freight:
An Operating Night on the Narrow Gauge - Chapter 1
An Operating Night on the Narrow Gauge - Chapter 2
I hope that you will enjoy your visit to these pages, and that you will check back periodically to see "What's new..." --- or how the various succeeding layouts progressed over the years. After moving in 2006, I built a loop-to-loop design layout at our new home which progressed to the point of all trackwork complete and basic scenery started but this was abandoned in 2012 when we moved again. At our next (and current) home, I started building a decked layout in July 2013 but subsequently decided to abandon that concept as I came to realize that there were just too many compromises that I couldn't live with. I thus started work in July 2018 on a totally new design which starts with The "New" D&RGW (2018-2019) and continues with the most recent progress at The D&RGW in Sn3 .
11 July 2023 - I was invited to present a layout tour on the NNG monthly "Off the Beaten Track" which has now been uploaded to YouTube!
I have a number of other "cyber-articles" also on this site, which were done up to share with my fellow Sn3 group members:
LED Magnetic Uncoupling Ramp Locaters
Painting & Aging with Acrylics
PBL K-27 & K-28 Driveline Upgrade
