February 4-5, 2010, SCCAAS 2010 conference was hosted at the Clarion Hotel and South Carolina ETV in Columbia, SC. The theme is African American Studies in the Digital Age, which looks at how teachers can use emerging technology effectively in the classroom for all subject areas.
Dr. Jiang has a presentation on February 5th, 2010 in the conference. The title is Promoting Education with Free and Open Source Software. This presentation received the highest evaluation feedback from the participating teachers. The presentation slides can be accessed HERE.
The South Carolina Council for African American Studies(SCCAAS) is a professional organization for persons interested in any aspect of African American instruction. SCCAAS offers its members the opportunity to share in the development of ideas and programs with educators from the state, southeastern region and the nation. The mission of SCCAAS is to promote higher standards in all subject core area curricula and instruction for the schools of South Carolina.
