I graduated in English Philology at the University of Jaén (Spain) in 2004 and got my PhD from that university in 2008. Since then, I have focused on the study of English word-formation, especially morphological productivity, lexicalization and the semantics of word-formation. My interests are also in contrastive word-formation and learner corpora.

I have taught at the Area of General Linguistics of the University of Jaén and have been engaged in various research projects, among them CASTLE, which is compiling a learner corpus at the University of Valencia. I am currently at the Department of English and German Philology of that university.
