Jesse Gardner

I am an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Clemson University in the Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business. I recently earned my Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Southern California in the Marshall School of Business. My research interests are Capital Markets, Earnings Quality, Economic Development, Equity Duration, Financial Statement Analysis, International Disclosure, Taxation, and Valuation. 

Before entering the Ph.D. program, I worked for PwC as a Tax Senior Associate in their New York City office. During my 3 years with the firm, I rotated between the Real Estate and M&A tax groups. I'm licensed as a CPA in the state of NY, and earned a master’s degree in Business Taxation from the University of Southern California in 2014 and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Information Systems from Virginia Tech in 2013.
