I have worked with many things, including sock stacker in a hosiery factory, and van driver for a laundry company, but it is probably most interesting to look at my more technical roles!

Research scientist, Christian Michelsens Institute (CMI), Bergen, Norway.
My speciality was programming of scientific software fof parallel computers. The first Intel Hypercube computer in Europe was delivered to CMI in December 1985. We pioneered the use of parallel algorithms through collaboration with the University of Bergen and several local industries.
Research scientist, Parallab - University of Bergen, Norway
At Parallab I have continued to work with parallel and distributed algorithms. Parallab was founded in 1989 and has specialised in being at the forefront with new computing architectures and new algorithms. These include:
Intel iPSC1/iPSC2 hypercube distributed memory (MIMD) machine (1985 - ca 1993)
Intel Paragon, MIMD (1993 - ca. 1997)
Maspar MP1/MP2 SIMD machine (1990 - ca. 1995)
Parsytech GC PowerPlus MIMD, (1994 - ca 1996)
DEC Alpha farm Cluster, (1995 - ca 1998)
Cray SGI Origin 2000 (1996 - 2002)
Sun ULTRA cluster with high speed interconnect (1997 - 2001)
Neural Network technologies for oil reservoir output prediction
Parallel algroithms for computer tomography
