INKMASTERS ARTIST RESIDENCY 2016
During late June/early July, Jenny completed a two-week residency in Cairns, which is located in the balmy tropical north of Queensland. The residency is part of Inkfest 2016, a festival and celebration of printmaking.
During the residency Jenny created a new series of prints which feature Australian parrots, titled ‘Preserved sky’. She incorporated monoprinted plants collected from the Cairns area into her linocuts along with collaged digital prints. Jenny also delivered a two-day linocut workshop and an artist’s talk.
‘The preserved sky’ series of prints, along with a selection of her other prints, will be exhibited as part of the Inkmasters Print Exhibition 2016 at The Tanks Art Centre in Cairns. The Inkmasters Exhibition will be opened by Akky van Ogtrop the president of The Print Council of Australia on July 29, 2016.

Future Feminist Archives
In March this year, Jenny was invited to collaborate with five other Northern Rivers artists as part of the Future Feminist Archives project. The FFA is a year-long project created to mark the 40th anniversary of International Women’s Year.
Jenny, along with Jan Davis, Leonine Lane, Shelagh Morgan, Liz Stops and Karla Dickens formed the Northern Rivers Country Women’s Chapter of the FFA and were one of nine other artist-led projects across NSW. The outcome of our collaboration was a poster/artists’ book which was exhibited at Cross Arts Projects gallery in Sydney’s Kings Cross during April.
