Chulwoo Jung is currently a senior research engineer at Genesis NVH CAE team of Hyundai Motor Company. He is interested in how to efficiently reduce vehicle noise and nicely design vehicle sound. He received a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2013. His doctoral research focused on analyzing nonlinear vibrations using reduced order models and developing novel methods for damage detection in systems with complex geometry. Before starting a doctoral study at the University of Michigan, he worked at Samsung Techwin as a quality engineer.

Research Interests: Nonlinear dynamics and vibration, Reduced order modeling, Structural health monitoring and damage detection, Automotive NVH and sound design, Optimization

Academic Service: Associate editor for SAE International Journal of Vehicle Dynamics, Stability, and NVH. Reviewer for ASME Journal of Vibration and Acoustics, ASME conference papers, SAE international journal and conference papers, Journal of Mechanical Science and Technology, International Journal of Automotive Technology, Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part D: Journal of Automobile Engineering.
