I obtained my doctoral degree of Doctor of Science at Nara Institute of Science and Technology, Japan. My dissertation dealt on a computational neuroscience topic, in particular, modelling the effect of focal brain cooling on epileptic discharges. It is my desire to put up the first Computational Neuroscience Laboratory in the Philippines to do research on mental disorders and help in the health policy-making of government institutions such as the Department of Health.
